Thank you, Sheri and Michael, for entrusting me to preserve this moment in Caelyn’s life for her Senior year portraits, and for being my last session of 2020. What a way to end the year!
Being able to reconnect after all these years, dodging State Park security personnel, and catching those perfect moments inbetween cloud formations made for a wonderful day of shooting. Your flexibility with being able to extend our session to a 2nd day to capture the perfect shots in the backroads made this session, and images, even more memorable.
Caelyn, thank you for being committed to this with such an open mind and bright spirit, and for allowing us to see all sides of your beautiful, artistic personality. Given Michigan’s weather this time of year, you nailed every location and every smile with a true sense of Power and Grace. Best wishes on your Senior year and on your adventures, wherever they may lead!
For what was supposed to be my submissions for the Damned 13 Exhibition this year (which got cancelled due to Covid-19), I had these images floating around in my head that needed to be photographed. Having wanted to work with the beautiful Sugar Monroe in some capacity, especially in a way that challenged her physically, I immediately reached out to her. I cannot express enough how honored I am that she said yes!
The beautiful, dark, emotional results follow. So even though Damned 13 won’t be taking place this year, I offer you My Dark Ophelia.
I am now booking for Class of 2018 Senior photo sessions!
If you are looking to deviate from the ordinary studio-lit photo sessions and really want to have your son or daughter shine in a unique setting, contact me today. We can discuss location options which are geared specifically to your Senior and will make them feel right at home. Whether in or around your home or property, in a nearby town, industrial setting or downtown city, I have covered them all. I am looking for some new challenges this year, so bring it!
Scheduled for 3 hours, I focus on creating a casual, stress-free environment. Consisting of 2-3 outfit changes, the variety of images you will receive in the end will surprise you.
*Availability is limited to one session per day, usually morning (9-Noon) or afternoon (4-7pm) on the weekends only. This allows for flexibility when it comes to Michigan’s weather as we may need to switch times. Special arrangements can be made for other times, if necessary.
